REFLECTION: This project has been an interesting experience. Through the writing of the story and creation of my voice thread, I have learned a lot. Writing my prompt and story was a good learning experience in itself. Although the content was very basic to me, I had to do a lot of critical thinking and have a pretty good content knowledge foundation in order to create my story. This helped prove to me why creation is so high on Blooms Taxonomy. Creation really involves a lot of knowledge and critical thinking, which are both skills I want my future students to have. This would be such a great activity for my students to do, and I think it would really be a great assessment tool, while also allowing for creativity. The writing of the prompt was a great teacher lesson. Prompts are not easy to write, and they require special precision. Things have to be worded correctly so that the students know what you want. This was an important lesson to learn because I'm going to be writing countless prompts as a teacher, and I need to know HOW to do it. The creation of my voice thread was also a good experience. I think voice thread is a great tool to allow students to publish their work. It also allows for them to practice reading, reading with expression, and allows them the change to really bring their characters to life. As a future teacher, this was a great activity because it let me practice reading a story and hearing myself back. I need to be more aware of the speed of my speech and this activity really helped to magnify that. I think this activity was great for us to do as future teachers, and I think it will be a great publication tool to implement in my classroom.
